Dungeon Bosses

🧠 Scope Check: Reality Wins

PATIENCE: ███░░░░░░░ 30% (but growing)

Made the hard call to deprioritize Dungeon Bosses for now and focus fully on Rail Hoard. It hurts — the dungeon defense concept is something I'm really passionate about — but shipping a smaller, tighter game first is the smart play.

Here's the honest version of what happened: I was context-switching between both games every week and neither was making meaningful progress. Rail Hoard has a clearer path to a shippable product — the core loop is simpler, the scope is manageable, and it's already feeling good to play. Dungeon Bosses has a more ambitious design with a lot of systems that need to work together before it clicks.

Trying to build both simultaneously was making me worse at building either. The decision was obvious once I wrote it out clearly. Ship Rail Hoard. Prove I can finish a game. Then open the vaults for Dungeon Bosses with better skills, better tools, and a track record.

Dungeon Bosses isn't going anywhere. The design doc is solid. The concept is good — being the villain in a dungeon defense game is just genuinely fun — and I want to build it right. That means not rushing it. It's sealed in the vaults until the time is right.
